My “Intertwined” interiors collection has been inspired by seaside towns and being around coastal colours, textures and forms. I really enjoyed this project because I had the ability to work with different materials such as leather, knitted structures and organdie. Combining these materials allowed me to experiment with different techniques such as fabric manipulation, cutwork, 3D embroidery alongside knit and crochet. I am most proud of this project because I am interested in working in interiors in the future and this allowed me to explore this style of working.
My favourite pieces in this collection are my machine knitted & hand knotted samples and my printed wallpapers. I love the colours I explored and really enjoyed combining the patterns.
My time at college has been challenging but rewarding. I can’t wait to use my skills learned when I set up my own business after finishing the course.Delete comment: My “Intertwined” interiors collection has been inspired by seaside towns and being around coastal colours, textures and forms.
