From an early age I have had a creative streak that as I’ve grown older, has materialised into the need to learn more. I returned to education after a 30-year gap and was a bit apprehensive of how I would fit in but I needn’t have worried as everyone was welcoming and was there to do the same as me, learn.
I have enjoyed the pattern drafting and construction side of education. Pattern drafting opens up a whole new world of possibilities, think it, draft it, make it, simples. I have always enjoyed sewing whether it be hand or machine, but I have learned so much from basic processes to more advanced techniques like tailoring.
I have also discovered that I like helping others and explaining processes so think that teaching may be a possibility for me in the future.
