I have always had a strong, creative and imaginative side within myself which I maybe didn’t fully realise until recently.

'A Day in the Life' is my competition winning, fashion-based textiles project.

It started with a task set by our lecturers to complete a weeklong workout routine during the summer and collect data through photography and note taking to be used as a basis for inspiration and create a collection that would be fitting of my sports/clubbing target audience.

Throughout this project, I experimented heavily with the ideas of movement, freedom and functionality. I did this by creating bright, bold samples featuring striking prints and interchangeable parts that were designed to be breathable whilst on the body, moving and creating openings to allow the wearer to remain fresh throughout the day as well as keeping the look of glitch, distortion and motion that I had captured in my original photographs.

I have been delighted to receive offers to study at honours degree level from Glasgow School of Art, Robert Gordon University, Herriot-Watt, Dundee University and I also look forward to taking part in my internship at Stella McCartney’s design studio in London during the summer.
