Future: Taking a year out, pursuing personal projects in costume.

Chloe McMillan  Within my personal life, I follow the hobby of cosplaying (dressing as characters.). Through this passion I fell more and more into the world of costume design and story-telling/character writing just by the garments the character wears alone. So much can be conveyed from a character's garments alone and I hope to pursue a future career within the costume design industry. I have applied to universities in hopes to expand and grow my knowledge and understanding of the intricacies of the industry, I have been also considering a future within the world of freelance for both an array of stranded garment designs and costume designs whilst potentially pursuing apprenticeships. I would say one of my strongest abilities when it comes to designs is the variety of designs I can produce quickly and with little to a lot of information. The presented collection has been inspired by a grotesque and twisted lovecraftion/ brother grim style to emphasise something beautiful being corrupted and twisted against its will or control.
